Letter from Celia Judge, a Helper with the Maidensgrove Group
Having decided reluctantly to give up my weekly riding lesson, after many years of enjoyment, I was delighted to be welcomed at one of the weekly sessions of Riding for the Disabled at The Grove Equitation Centre near Lane End. I was given training and guidance during the first few weeks and soon became familiar with the routine and safety aspects.
During my time with RDA I have received the friendship and trust of the riders whose gradual improvement and growing confidence are most rewarding to witness and I have enjoyed the pleasure of being with a friendly group of helpers, carers and riders. Plenty of fun is built into the learning process by the well trained instructors ensuring a satisfying and happy time for all concerned. I look forward to beginning a new year with RDA.
