Our Summer Outing is a fun day out for all members of the Group and for three consecutive years rides on wagons drawn by Suffolk Punches followed by a picnic, at Darkwood Farm, Park Corner, near Nettlebed, have been greatly enjoyed.

For the Summer Outing in 2008 our riders and helpers/carers will be visiting Odds Farm Park, Wooburn Common to enjoy the animals and activities and have a picnic. 

Christmas is celebrated at the end of the last sessions in December.

The Annual Refresher Training Day for Helpers is followed by a Pub Lunch.   This is a training session arranged, with demonstrations, by our Instructors, and takes place at The Grove. It is also a good and useful social occasion to exchange ideas and meet with Helpers from other riding sessions.
 
The Annual General Meeting is held in October at Northend Village Hall and there are wine and sandwiches afterwards. Representatives from the riders’ Schools and Centres are also invited, and express their thanks and appreciation for all that we do for the riders. The representative from Chiltern Gate School has spoken of the amazing improvement shown by the children who come riding.
 
The annual fund-raising Bridge Afternoon takes place at Benson Parish Hall.  
The date for 2008 is Thursday, 6th November.
